The surface treatment uses electro-galvanizing with an average coating thickness of 5 microns, providing effective corrosion resistance and long-term durability even in harsh working environments.   How to use combination ring clutch?

   

  The combination ring clutch is used in a similar way to the ring clutch. Using the Combination Ring Clutch correctly is essential to ensure safe and efficient lifting of precast concrete elements. The clutch is designed for quick connection and secure engagement with spread anchors embedded in the concrete. Below is the standard operating procedure:

   

  Inspection Before Use:

  
  

  Check the clutch, wire rope, and locking components for any visible damage, deformation, or corrosion. Ensure that the load capacity and anchor type match the lifting requirements.

   

  Insert the Clutch:

  
  

  Rotate or open the latch mechanism to the unlocked position. Insert the clutch head into the recess of the spread anchor cast in the concrete element.

   

  Lock the Clutch:

  
  

  Once the clutch is properly seated, rotate or close the latch until it locks securely in place. The handle or wire rope should move freely, confirming full engagement with the anchor.

   

  Lift the Element:

  
  

  Attach the lifting hook or shackle to the clutch’s wire rope handle. Begin lifting slowly to ensure that the load is evenly distributed and properly aligned. Avoid any side loads or angular lifting to prevent damage to the concrete or anchor.

   

  Release After Lifting:

  
  

  After the element is safely positioned, lower it gently to relieve tension. Rotate the latch to the open position and remove the clutch from the anchor.

   

  Wire Loop should be checked for the following defects:

  
  

  • Kinking and buckling

  • One braid broken

  • Slackening of the outermost exposed layer on free length

  • Crushing on free lengths

  • Crushing at the eye´s contact point with more than 4

  ruptured wires on braided loops, or more than 10 ruptured

  wires on looplaid rope

  • Corrosion marks

  • Damage or severe wear to the loop connector or loopend connector

  • High number or ruptured wires

   

  The loop must be taken out of use if the following numbers

  of ruptured wires are found. (depending from the rope

  diameter)
